Nepal Commodity Market Update: Sugar Rises 1.82% as Wholesale Prices Remain Firm
Nepal’s wholesale commodity market is showing mixed movements, with sugar emerging as the key gainer in the latest NepalCommodity market update.
According to the latest market board, Sugar 50kg is priced at Rs. 5,600, marking a 1.82% increase. The price movement puts sugar among the commodities currently attracting attention in the wholesale market.
In the edible oil segment, Sunflower Oil 10L is listed at Rs. 2,775, Soybean Oil 10L at Rs. 2,725, and Mustard Oil 10L at Rs. 2,625.
Among pulses, Chana Dal 25kg is priced at Rs. 3,450, Masoor Dal 25kg at Rs. 3,125, while Mass Dal 25kg stands at Rs. 4,900.
The rice market also continues to show variation across brands. Aashraya Jeera Masino Rice 25kg is priced at Rs. 2,350, Arpan Jeera Masino at Rs. 2,575, Pearl Katarni Rice 25kg at Rs. 2,550 and Sangam Special Katarni Rice 25kg at Rs. 2,600. Newari Shahi Pulao Basmati Rice 20kg is listed at Rs. 3,625.
In spices, Jeera 30kg is priced at Rs. 12,900, Dhaniya 40kg at Rs. 12,600, Methi 30kg at Rs. 4,400 and Khursani 10kg at Rs. 4,300.
